Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 2026-07-27

This policy explains refunds and cancellation for paid subscriptions to Tools Here (toolshere.app). It does not apply to the free features, which involve no payment. Paid subscriptions are not yet available; when they launch, these terms will be presented again at checkout.

1. Right of Withdrawal — depends on where you live

The withdrawal period and its conditions depend on your country of residence, not on the language you view the site in.

a. Residents of the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland

  • You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 9; in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
  • However, if you expressly request that we begin supplying the digital service immediately, before the 14 days have passed, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, that right is limited under Article 16 of the same Directive. We collect this acknowledgment at checkout and confirm it to you by email.
  • If you asked for immediate supply but did not give that acknowledgment, and you withdraw within 14 days, we will charge only the proportion of the service already supplied and refund the remainder.

b. Residents of the Republic of Korea

  • You may request withdrawal within 7 days of payment.
  • Under Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, withdrawal may be restricted once the supply of digital content (a software licence) has begun. Where that applies, we disclose the restriction at checkout beforehand.

c. Residents of all other countries

  • The same 7-day period described in (b) applies from the date of payment.
  • Where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence grants you rights more favourable than these, that law prevails. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Regardless of where you live, you may obtain a refund if the Service is defective or differs from what was described, advertised, or agreed — whether or not you have already started using it.

2. Cancelling a Subscription

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page.
  • Cancellation stops the recurring charge from the next billing date onward. The period you have already paid for remains fully usable until it expires.
  • We do not normally provide partial (pro-rata) refunds for a billing period already underway — except where the right of withdrawal in Section 1 applies, where the law requires it, or where the fault is ours.

3. How Refunds Are Made

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method; card payments are refunded by reversing the authorization.
  • Processing can take several business days depending on your payment method, card issuer, and settlement schedule.
  • For residents of the EEA and the UK, we process refunds within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.

4. Governing Law and Your Consumer Rights

This policy applies together with the Terms of Service and, like the Terms, is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not limit any right you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

5. Language

This policy was written in Korean and may be provided in translation. If a translation conflicts with the Korean original, the Korean original prevails — except where the law of your country of residence requires a particular language version to govern.
